By creating an account, accessing, or using Navig8 (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
2. Service Description
Navig8 provides tools for route planning, weather visualization, bathymetry, and related maritime information.
All data — including maps, weather forecasts, bathymetry, and routing suggestions — is provided for informational purposes only and must not be used as the sole basis for navigation or safety decisions.
Navig8 is not an official nautical chart, navigation system, or safety device.
3. User Responsibilities
- You are fully responsible for navigation, vessel operation, and safety at sea.
- You must comply with all applicable maritime laws and regulations.
- You must verify all information using official nautical charts and local authorities.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account or using the Service.
- You must not misuse the Service, including attempting to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt it.
4. Accounts and Subscriptions
- Some features require creating an account.
- Subscription payments and renewals are handled by the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe, depending on platform.
- Subscription terms, billing cycles, and cancellation rules follow the policies of the respective payment provider.
- We do not process or store your payment information.
- Certain features (e.g., bathymetry, extended routing, weather layers) may require a PRO subscription.
5. Data Sources & Third‑Party Services
Navig8 may use third‑party data sources, including but not limited to:
- MapLibre / OpenStreetMap
- Weather forecast providers
- Bathymetry data providers
- AIS or marine data services (if applicable)
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any third‑party data.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Navig8 is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.
- You acknowledge that weather forecasts, routing suggestions, and map data may be inaccurate, outdated, or unavailable.
- You agree that you use the Service at your own risk.
- Always rely on official nautical charts, instruments, and professional judgment.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service;
- scrape or mass‑download data;
- use the Service for unlawful purposes;
- attempt to bypass technical protections or access restricted features.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform.
You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us.
9. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms at any time.
Continued use of Navig8 after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland.
Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Poland, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
